4 February 2009
Aired last night on Channel Ten, the exciting new series “Lie to me” depicted what can be achieved using cutting edge behavioural techniques to detect deception, interpret body language and read people. Based on the work of world renowned scientist and psychologist Dr Paul Ekman, "Lie to me" accurately showcases techniques such as micro-expressions, neuro-linguistic programming and reading body language. The show’s star, Tim Roth, plays Dr Cal Lightman of the Lightman Group, both of which are heavily based on the Dr Ekman and the Ekman Group in the US.
